The slow part of bathing a dog is not the rinsing, it is getting shampoo evenly through a thick coat while the dog is trying to leave. A brush with the shampoo inside distributes it as you work, so you are doing one job instead of two. The soft silicone bristles also feel like a massage, which makes bath-averse dogs stand still noticeably longer.
Key Benefits
- Shampoo dispenses as you brush, so no separate lathering step
- Soft silicone bristles massage rather than scratch
- Reaches the skin through a thick coat, where the dirt actually is
- Rinses clean in seconds and will not hold hair
Best For
- Thick or double-coated dogs where shampoo never reaches the skin
- Dogs who will not stand still for a long bath
- Anyone who finds bath day genuinely exhausting
How It Works
Fill the reservoir with shampoo diluted a little with water, then squeeze gently as you brush. Work from the neck backwards and against the lie of the coat, which is what gets product down to the skin rather than sitting on the surface.
Pros and Cons
Pros: Halves the time a bath takes and dogs generally like it, which changes the whole tone of the exercise.
Cons: The reservoir is small, so a big dog means refilling mid-bath with wet hands.
Things to Consider
- Dilute the shampoo slightly or it will not flow through the bristles
- Small reservoir – expect a refill on large dogs
- Use dog shampoo only; human shampoo is the wrong pH for dog skin
- Prices, availability and shipping times are set by the AliExpress seller and can change
