Incontinence in an old dog, a puppy in the first weeks, a bitch in season, a dog recovering from surgery — all of them come down to the same practical problem, which is that liquid soaking into a bed never fully dries and eventually the bed has to go. A washable pad underneath solves it for the price of one bed.

Key Benefits

  • Absorbent core with a waterproof backing, so nothing reaches the bed
  • Reusable and machine washable rather than disposable
  • Two in the pack, so one is always in the wash
  • Large enough to cover a crate base or a bed top

Best For

  • Older dogs with weak bladders
  • Post-operative recovery and crate rest
  • Puppies during house training, and bitches in season

How It Works

Three layers: a quick-wicking top that pulls liquid away from the dog, an absorbent middle, and a waterproof backing that stops it going any further. Washing restores all three.

Pros and Cons

Pros: Solves the actual problem — protecting the bed — far more cheaply than replacing bedding, and reusable pads work out cheaper than disposables within weeks.

Cons: Capacity is finite: these handle an accident, not a whole night of heavy leaking, and a saturated pad will wick through to what is underneath. Fabric softener destroys absorbency permanently, and enough dogs chew the waterproof backing that they are not safe left with a determined chewer unsupervised.

Things to Consider

  • Never wash with fabric softener; it coats the fibres and kills the wicking
  • A pad manages the mess but does not diagnose it — new incontinence needs a vet, not a pad
  • Prices, availability and shipping times are set by the AliExpress seller and can change
