Pulling on the lead
Pulling is a training problem that the right equipment makes easier, not a problem equipment solves. A front-clip harness turns a dog’s forward pull into a gentle turn towards you, which buys you the moment you need to reward the loose lead. It does not teach anything by itself.
A long line is the other half of it. Three to five metres lets a dog move at its own pace in an open space while you keep hold, so recall and loose-lead work happen somewhere the dog is not already frustrated. Treats have to be reachable in one second or the timing is lost, which is what the pouches here are for.
What is deliberately not on this page: retractable leads. They teach a dog that pulling extends the lead, which is the opposite of what you are training. We stock one, and it is filed under travel gear rather than here.
